We Heart Luca718!

Cool graphics, comfy cotton, and Brooklyn love? That's all of our favorite things combined! We'll let the masterminds behind these great tees describe themselves, since we think they did a pretty great job; "Luca718 is the kids' apparel and accessories line from Seven One Eight Design, a lifestyle brand founded by former BMX pro Jeff Mayer. Named for Mayer's heavy-machinery-obsessed son, the streetwear line features the vehicles that make the city move: bulldozers, skateboards, subways and semis. Designed by Jeff and approved by Luca, the gritty, urban styles will add a fresh style to any kid's wardrobe." Read more »

Hurricane Sandy brought the East River all the way up to our DUMBO location (which includes our office and warehouse), but the waters receded quickly. Jane's Carousel and the rest of the neighborhood are OK, but we have a lot of clean up to do. Read more »

Product Spotlight; Tonky's Muybridge Horses Decal

Who wants some education with their decor? Eadweard Muybridge is best known for his pioneering work on animal locomotion in 1877 and 1878, which used multiple cameras to capture motion in stop-action photographs (among some over very cool accomplishments, which you can read about here). To discover whether all four of a horses legs are simultaneously off the ground at any point during a gallop, Muybridge set up several cameras along a track. The shutter of each camera was controlled by a thread across the track, which was triggered as the horse passed. The result is a series of stills depicting a horse in motion - and paved the way for animation. A fitting decal for your little cartoon lovers room, right? Read more »
